Position: Lead Field Service Technician (Tier 3 – Tier 6)
Tier 3 – Lead
Can lead small installation projects, can provide oversight of less skilled technicians, some safety install experience and/or advanced standard install skills, can be a second on a demo or pilot installs, can effectively work with Field Team PM Teams and Management. A Tier 3 Technician can at times expect to perform as a lead on medium to large projects to temporarily cover down for the primary Lead or as the primary Lead which may help prove that the Technician has the ability to move on to the next Tier level.
Tier 4 – Lead
Can expect to lead on small, medium and large projects, play a role in the training of new Technicians, has mid-level or higher experience with safety installs, full confidence with non-safety installs, can be point man on demo/pilot, comfortably work with Sales Team, PM Team and management. May at times provide support to other Technicians remotely and can at times expect to perform the duties of a tier 5 Technician in order to prove the ability to move to the next Tier level.
Tier 5 – Lead
Can expect to lead on small, medium and large projects, multi-team projects, work with project team to help create successful project operations/processes/procedures/training tools, can provide support to other installers remotely and train new technicians. A Tier 5 Technician will be expected to have all of the skills and knowledge of Tiers 1-4 and given adequate time and with further experience can expect to move Tier 6 when management sees fit.
Tier 6 – Senior Lead
A Senior Lead technician has mastered all of the Tiers below them. They are expected to effectively lead all projects successfully. Senior leads can kick-off and hand-off projects to help other techs or lower Tier Leads get started on projects. Develops the bench of all techs, works on promoting talent within, and promoting a positive change in the team. Continually developing skills to adapt to the changes in the market.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must have achieved a High School Diploma or equivalent, know how to use basic hand tools, have some basic low voltage or 12v DC electrical knowledge.
- Must be willing and able to travel within the lower 48 states of the USA.
- Must possess a valid class C or higher driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass under the company’s guidelines of a given drug screen and background check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of All Tier Levels
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Expected to perform installation and/or removal of hardware, mounting equipment and low voltage DC electronics on and from a wide variety of vehicular and non-vehicular objects.
- Legally travel safely and responsibly abroad within the U.S. via aircraft, rental car and/or company provided vehicles.
- Expected to play a role in customer service while performing tasks on site.
- Technicians will be expected to manage, maintain and keep track of company owned and customer owned equipment or inventory as see fit by management.
- Expected to effectively communicate with any given MMS employee within a timely manner between the hours of 8am CST and 5pm CTS Monday through Friday and on occasion Saturday and Sunday via a company provided cell phone, work e-mail, MS Teams app or in person.
- Expected to maintain a positive and working relationship with other technicians, project management, field management and customer POC.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining work orders for each individual installation the technician may perform using whatever means as instructed by the company in order to do so.
- Responsible for booking travel itinerary with company provided travel agency in a timely manner.
- Responsible for turning in weekly Per Diem reports to management every Sunday, each week even if the employee did not work that week.
- Responsible for maintaining and reporting company credit card expense receipts in a timely manner via the Veryfi app or website.
- Responsible for maintaining company provided tools and cell phone.
- Technicians are expected to complete a vehicle check-in form before picking up an MMS vehicle and is expected to complete a vehicle check-out form after dropping off an MMS vehicle. Each individual will be held responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness and associated inventory while operating the assigned vehicle.
- All technicians are responsible for accounting, maintaining and keeping track of MMS and customer owned inventory while on project and must return any equipment back to MMS in a timely manner based on the expectations of the customer and Project Manager.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

- Technicians will be expected to be able to work, learn, troubleshoot and adapt in a stressful environment and sometimes while under pressure to meet expected guidelines while maintaining a positive attitude. At times will be expected to work in extreme hot or cold environmental conditions including all weather conditions except electrical storms, tornados or hurricanes. At times will be expected to drive up to 8 hours in a single workday or weekend day. On occasion a technician can expect to work over 40 hours within a given week and even weekends if requested by management.
- Must be able perform required tasks within small, confined spaces and be able to pick up, lift and carry objects up to 80lbs.
