Position Overview:
Lead Field Installation Technician at Frequency Technology Installations will be at the helm of installing advanced 12-volt and 24-volt technology solutions in a diverse range of fleet vehicles, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards and client-specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installations of 12-volt and 24-volt technology solutions in both on-highway and off-highway fleet vehicles.
- Ensure flexibility and adaptability in addressing specific system requirements, processes, and client needs, with a focus on roster simplification.
- Conduct training and guidance for team members on advanced hardware and software installation techniques.
- Prioritize precision in ECM (Engine Control Module)-based installations.
- Implement and oversee stringent Quality Control (QC) processes, reinforced by robust training programs.
- Provide your own professional toolkit and reliable personal transportation.
- Skilled in troubleshooting with tools such as multimeters, and adept at safe practices around vehicle electrical systems.
- Expertise in soldering, crimp connections, and basic networking principles.
- Configure network devices like routers, as needed.
- Extensive experience with various vehicle types, including specialized on-road and off-road vehicles.
Physical Demands:
- Regular requirements include standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands for computer and telephone operation.
- Capable of reaching, stooping, kneeling; lifting moderate weights up to 50 pounds.
- Manage the demands of frequent travel.
- Maintain consistent, predictable attendance.
Work Environment:
- Work in confined spaces, standing, bending, and accessing various types of vehicles.
- Operating in garage-like environments and staging areas.
Travel Requirements:
- Extensive travel throughout the United States, often requiring overnight stays for out-of-state assignments.
Experience Requirements:
- Profound knowledge of leading Mobile Telematics providers such as Verizon Connect, Geotab, Samsara, Omnitracs, and others.
- Prior leadership experience in a similar role is highly beneficial.
