How long have you been in the industry?
I've been installing professionally since 1998, but I've been a huge fan of the industry since 1992.

How many years have you been MECP certified? How long have you been Master certified?
I passed the Basic back in 1998 because it was hard landing a job without it. I decided to try for the Masters in 2008.

What is the year, make and model of the most difficult car you've ever worked on?
There are a few out there that make me cringe, but I don't think any of them compare to a job I did on an old boat once. Turned out to be infested with giant wood roaches, you know, the kind that can fly. Without a doubt staying and finishing the job was the most difficult install of my career.

Give us a rundown of the system installed in your vehicle right now.
Car#1: 1991 Ford Bronco-Denon DCT-1, Diamond Audio D7152 on Polk SR 6500's, Massive 3000 on two Kicker SoloX 18"s,Monster and Kicker wire.Just bought a DBX Driverack, not in yet.

Car#2: 1996 Nissan 240sx-(build in progress)-Pioneer PRS800 (to be replaced with DEX-P9 soon),Alpine PDX4150 bi-amping Morel Elate 3-ways, Alpine PDX 1.1000 on a pair of undecided 10" subs. Vampire and Fosgate wire. About 100lbs of Dynamat so far...

Name the top five artists in your MP3 player at the moment.
MP3? Not gonna happen, but on my portable WAV player it would be Opeth, Ben Harper, Aesop Rock, In Flames, and Kanye West

What is your favorite tool to use in the installation bay and why?
That would have to be Term-Lab. If we've got the meter out it means we just finished a sweet box, or someone came in talking smack or something along those lines, but whatever it is the meter always causes a stir in the bay that attracts co-workers and customers alike.

What's the best advice you have ever gotten in your installation career?
A long time ago I used to be obsessed with trying to memorize every wire in every car and when discussing the topic with a tenured installer in the bay he said "I don't worry so much about having a certain car memorized, I know the science of DC12volt and I study the process of taking apart and putting back together cars, so it doesn't matter what car you put me in, I will find the solution." It really changed my perspective of the job, and my whole approach in the bay.

Who inspires you to further your skills and your career in mobile electronics installation?
I get inspired in one way or another from almost every person I've met in this industry. I've tried to study the works of all the people I consider legends of the industry, and I try to learn something from everyone I get to work with.
